CONGRATULATIONS!
ILGA Travel Team - for finishing in first place for the 2025-2026 East Valley Travel Team season! The final match and trophy presentation took place Wednesday, February 11th at Sunbird. Participants were: Lynda Jones, Amanda McLoone, Dianne McCauley, Janet Barnett, Karen Bustillo, Sue Olson, Julie Clausen and Judy Kirschenbaum.
Final Scores were: Ironwood 229.0; Palo Verde 223.0; Sun Lakes 218.5; and Sunbird 193.5.
Thanks to all the ladies who volunteered and participated in this year's team events! Everyone contributed to bringing home the trophy for the first time since 2007!
Sharon Bowditch, Cathy Engen, Roselyn Hoiby and Glo Malmberg are February entrants to the Score for the Ages honor roll. The honor roll recognizes players whose gross score is equal, or less than their age during weekly league play. The honor roll is on the Members Information page.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The 2026 Club Championship will take place on Jan. 29 (am or pm shotgun), Feb. 5 (9 am shotgun) and Feb. 12 (12:30 pm shotgun). Registration is through Golf Genius. Details can also be found on the Special Events page.
The awards luncheon is set for February 19th, after the 9 am shotgun. The subsidized cost is $25, which can be paid by check or Zelle at Ironwoodlgatreasurer@gmail.com by February 13th. The menu is chicken piccata with pasta, Caesar salad and cannoli. We will honor the Most Improved Golfer, the 2025 State Medallion representatives, winners of the Best of the Best and winners of the Club Championship.
